The electronic security industry has traditionally been male dominated, yet the Women in the Security Evolution (WISE) is carving out a space dedicated to advancing women within the industry. With a clear mission to promote visibility, inclusivity, and equality; WISE’s strategic initiatives and areas of focus are clearly outlined.

Women’s History Month, celebrated annually in March, is dedicated to recognizing and honoring the achievements, contributions, and history of women throughout the world.

In the constantly evolving landscape of the security industry, the role of women has often been underrepresented. Yet, women have excelled across a variety of roles, from the strategic decisions made in the C-suite to the innovative campaigns crafted in marketing and sales, and the groundbreaking solutions developed in engineering.

This month we feature three women from the CAA’s Women In the Security Evolution,”WISE”. Mindi Sue Sternblitz-Rubenstein, Shannon Beritzhoff, and Sarah Wilson share a brief overview of their background and what they anticipate the future and impact for women in security will be.

Women in the Security Evolution, “WISE”, is a CAA group focused on promoting women in the electronic security industry through increased visibility, inclusivity, resource support and equality. WISE currently meets monthly and is dedicated to preparing and planning the right way to create a solid foundation for all members.

The California Alarm Association (CAA) recently announced the launch of the Women in the Security Evolution (WISE), a committee that is dedicated to supporting, empowering, and promoting women across all disciplines within the security industry spectrum of professional roles.
