The CAA training program offers 190 hours of continuing education courses addressing all aspects of the electronic security industry.  These programs will be launched in early Fall of 2020.

Field Service Technician Training (Coming Soon)

The California Alarm Association Field Service Technician training is a 24-hour online program developed to provide a sound foundation of knowledge.  The program includes 11 sections designed for self-study with interactive web-based contact.

WBFAA Apprentice Training Program

The CAA co-founded the WBFAA UATC Apprentice Training Program which offers six semesters of college credit instruction for Fire/Life Safety Technicians.  The program is approved by the State of California, U.S. Department of Labor, and the VA for educational benefits.

The WBFAA provided workforce development services to member companies from a pool of eligible apprentices. Certified Fire/Life Safety Technicians can obtain their 32-hours of continuing education required for renewal every three years.

CAA Webinars

  • CAA Spring Convention 2021

    Our annual Spring conference is tentatively scheduled to be held in Palm Springs, CA at the Hilton Convention Center. We'll have more details available soon based on COVID-19 guidelines.
